SOUTH PLAZA ISLAND

It is an uplifted section of land. This small island is covered with a carpet of the endemic sea purslane, which turns red from May to December, and Opuntia cactus.
There is an incredible diversity of wildlife and extraordinary sceneries during landing you can appreciate the sea lion colony and nursery groups; sally lightfoot crabs, unique marine iguanas, and colorful land iguanas. The trail goes up to the cliff where you will have fairly close looks at the beautiful red-billed tropicbirds and swallow tailed gulls flying over their nest.

PUNTA CARRION
